Editing documents with Quip is easy.
Just start typing, and use the style menu to make changes to your style or layout. To find the style menu, look for this symbol on your desktop:
If you are editing on your phone or tablet, the style menu is attached to the top of the on-screen keyboard:
Use the style menu to choose whether the line of text you're working on is a Paragraph, Heading, or List. Headings can be small, medium or large, and Lists can be bulleted, numbered or checklists.
When writing or editing a list, you can use Tab to indent a list item, or Shift+Tab to de-indent a list item.
You can insert images, tables, and more by using mentions. Mentions, or @mentions, are inserted any time you type the @ symbol.
On both desktop web and mobile, you can also add simple formatting by highlighting the text you want to format and using the black pop up menu to choose options such as bold, italic, underline, etc.
