How do I create a group or shared folder?

To create a new shared folder: 

  • Click on the folder icon in the right 


  • Choose new folder & create title and color for folder:


  • Enter the name or email address of the person you'd like to invite to the folder. If they are not already a Quip user, they will receive an email inviting them to join

Creating a Group Folder

Group folders are great for companies and business teams that would like to easily share documents and collaborate with their colleagues. Group folders are currently a feature of Quip Business -- please email to get in touch with a Quip representative to turn on Quip Business features for your team.

As an administrator of a Quip Business account, you can create new group folders through the Quip business portal. From the Quip business portal homepage, create a new group folder by choosing Create Team under the Administrator menu
